 SUMMER COLLEGE

UMASS Amherst now offers SUMMER COLLEGE: a Pre-College Program for
rising High School Juniors and Seniors.

SUMMER COLLEGE is a residential program designed to help students
gain knowledge and skills and experience what life is like on a
University Campus. Each course intensive offers the option of 2
college credits and there are offerings in the STEM area. Students
can apply for Forensic Chemistry, June 24-July 7 or The Arsenic
Project with Professor Julian Tyson, July 8-July 21. They can
participate in any one of the Mathematics Triple offered throughout
June 24-August 4, where they will engage in creative and rigorous
mathematical thinking and writing. There are limited spaces for
highly motivated students to join existing funded programs of
Research in Biology, Biochemistry, Plant, Soil and Insect Sciences
 from June 24-August 4,

In addition to their academic experience students will visit with
admissions staff from the FIVE College Consortium, meet with College
advisors and engage in The UMASS Power Up for College Success program
developed to help students get the most out of their college or
university experience. Weekend and evening activities include movies,
campus events, trips to surrounding area cultural activities, visits
to Amherst, and optional trips to Six Flags New England or Boston.

Encourage your students to visit our web site
