Chemistry / Earth Science Teacher: The MacDuffie School in Springfield, MA
seeks an experienced candidate to teach 10th grade Conceptual and Honors
Chemistry and 7th grade Earth Science.  The Chemistry courses are the
second year of our upper school science sequence, building upon the
conceptual foundation gained in Conceptual Physics and preparing students
for Biology and advanced electives.~~The 7th grade Earth Science is part
of our middle school science program.  The course focuses on the chemical
and physical processes of the Earth, while giving a global perspective to
environmental science.  We seek an individual with the ability to engage
students intellectually through a range of teaching methods.~~Those with
experience using inquiry-based teaching methods are encouraged to apply.
Our students are motivated to learn and enjoy a challenging curriculum,
including applied and theoretical approaches.  Responsibilities include
teaching FT load of four sections with weekly labs and serving as a
student advisor.

B.S. degree required.~~M.S. degree preferred.~~Major or minor in Chemistry
or equivalent.~~At least one year of teaching is preferred.
