Professor Telfer will share her award-winning research on adult stem cells of the blood and immune systems. These cells are key players in bone marrow transplant therapies, and Telferâ??s award winning contribution has the potential to make the transplants safer and more effective.
Members of the community (from teens to seniors) are invited to come hear an informal discussion on the science underlying these therapies.
Co-sponsored by the UMass Amherst Office of Research and Engagement and the Hitchcock Center for the Environment.
