STEM Ed Announcement: GCC Pioneer Valley Institute, 13th Annual Gem, Mineral, Rock, and Fossil Show and Sale



TEACHERS,  STUDENTS and all earth-lovers WILL APPRECIATE THIS: 

The  GCC Pioneer Valley Institute's  13th Annual Gem,  Mineral, Rock, and 
Fossil Show and Sale at the Greenfield  High School, (Fiske Ave, off Silver  St.)  

Saturday, Nov. 14    9:30 - 4:  00.  

Come and see (and purchase) samples from  around the world.   
Great for teachers / schools / students that want intriguing earth science 
samples, or even holiday gifts.    
There will be vendors featuring local and exotic minerals, rocks, and 
fossils.   
Local artisans will be offering hand-crafted  Jewelry. 
Indeed, thereâ??s SOMETHING  incredible  FOR EVERYONE! 
There will be continuing videos on local geology including Lake  Hitchcock 
plus two 45 minute talks:  
    *   "Stalking  the wild smoky quartz" -- collecting crystals in the  White Mts of NH by Eric Greene (11  am) 
    *   "Origins  of Quartz"  with Nancy Millar    (12:15) 
    *   Plus:  Ron Woodland brings his portable PLANETARIUM for two shows, 1:30 and  2:30.

Admission is still only $2 adults, $1 13-17, kids 12 and under free with adult admission.
