Position: ENVIRONMENTAL, NATURAL RESOURCES & PLANT SCIENCE INSTRUCTOR AT WORCESTER VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

REPORT TO:   BUILDING PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE:
This individual is responsible for teaching a laboratory-based program that includes monitoring and testing water & air quality, biology, plant & soil management, Pesticide application, occupational safety, hazardous waste regulations and industrial hygiene.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.	Vocational / Technical license or demonstrated ability to become licensed in Environmental Technology by the Massachusetts Department of Education
2.	Evidence of mastery of a wide variety of vocational competencies and understanding of instructional techniques.
3.	Curriculum development experience and knowledge of integration of technical competencies with curriculum frameworks.
4.	Three years successful working experience in Environmental Technology.
5.	Evidence of MA Pesticide application license. 
6.	Bachelor degree in Plant & Soil, and /or Environmental Technology.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.	Advanced educational preparation.
2.	Evidence of educational leadership.
3.	Evidence of good human relation skills.
4.	Competent in computer applications

SALARY:   Appropriate step on the Instructor's pay schedule

WORK YEAR  Teacher's work year/day
