 Wednesday November 30
 Environmental Business Council Climate Change Program
 presents, 
 "Adaptation to Climate Change: What's the Plan?"
 Various speakers
 7:30 am - 12:00 pm, One Financial Center, Boston, MA
 Paid registration required (subsidized rates available)
 Speakers from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy
 and Environmental Affairs will summarize the EEA's recent
 Climate Change Adaptation Report and the activities of the
 Massachusetts Office of Coastal Zone Management which focus
 on assisting coastal communities rethink local zoning,
 planning and building requirements.  
 
 Speakers from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)
 and the US EPA will summarize a variety of agencies efforts
 to support adaptation planning and mitigation measures.  In
 part they will discuss the Presidential Executive Order under
 which the Council on Environmental Quality is overseeing an
 Adaptation Task Force and issued a recent report on
 adaptation efforts by the federal government. 
 
 A panel of experts from infrastructure agencies and the
 consulting community will briefly describe their activities
 in this arena and then participate with the presenters and
 program attendees in a moderated roundtable discussion of
 what is and what should be happening now to prepare for
 adaptation.
