Project Learning Tree
PreK 8 Educator Workshop
Saturday, June 23, 9:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m.
Purgatory Chasm State Reservation Visitor Center, Sutton,
Massachusetts
PLT uses trees, forests and human impacts to teach a variety of
subjects
Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math.
The award-winning, flexible curriculum presents material in a
hands-on minds-on format. PLT fits well with standards and
place-based learning.
Workshop participants model activities and apply them to their
teaching situations.
Enjoy a collegial atmosphere in a lovely setting, conveniently
located seven miles south of jct. Mass Pike and Route 146
Handouts, snacks and beverage provided. Complete the workshop and
receive the Curriculum Guide with 96 activities and supporting
materials. Certificates of completion awarded. PDPs may be earned.
This workshop is offered free of charge. Project Learning Tree is
the environmental education program of the American Forest
Foundation and is sponsored in Massachusetts by the D.C.R.
