2012 NEATEC Nanotechnology Summer Institute
Space is still available
Date: July 17 - 19, 2012
Location: Hudson Valley Community College, Albany, NY
Who should attend: Middle & High School STEM Teachers
" The NEATEC Nanotechnology Summer Institute will explore the
basic science and engineering concepts of this exciting new field,
and will illustrate how they may be integrated into the usual math,
science and technology courses in middle schools and high schools.
" During the institute, participants will begin to develop
curriculum units for their own classes. They will complete and
implement these in the fall and report on their progress and results
electronically.
" Three reduced cost grad credits will be available for the institute
and curriculum unit from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst,
MA. All registrations fees will be covered by NEATEC
" Free Professional Development Points (PDP)
"
" Fellowship: $75 per day. $225 total.
" NEATEC provides:
o materials
o parking
o lunches
Will use a Moodle site for the management of the Institute.
Registration is required.
APPLICATION
Application process: Include a narrative statement of how you plan to
use the information from this institute within your classroom. You
must also include a recent resume and a letter of support from your
school principal or superintendent. The application package can be
submitted by email, fax, or US mail.
We will acknowledge receipt of your
application within no more than one week. If you do not receive this
