Discrete Mathematics for Middle School Teachers -- What is Discrete Mathematics? There is no perfect answer; however, discrete math could be considered to be the study of finite and countably infinite sets along with all of their applications. Classic problems in Discrete Math include the Stable Marriage problem and Euler’s Bridges of Konigsburg problem. Some teachers took this course in order to pass the Mathematics and/or Middle School Mathematics MTEL exams.
