The Emerging Scientists Summer Camp (Holyoke Community College) -- This program consists of a series of one day workshops in forensic science, environmental science, mathematics, engineering, and robotics in which students are introduced to basic concepts relating to a specific discipline.  This introduction is then followed by a series of hands-on experiences utilizing these concepts.  In addition to discipline-specific topics general topics such as qualitative vs. quantitative testing,  problem solving approaches, the application of mathematics in science and engineering, and the impact of science and technology on daily life will be stressed.  By working together on projects interpersonal skills will also be enhanced.
