Engineering is Elementary --    “Engineering is Elementary (EIE)” Summer 2007 Professional Development Opportunity    The Holyoke Public Schools working in collaboration with the Pioneer Valley Regional PreK-16 Network was awarded funding to hire the Boston Museum of Science to train 20 (grade 3 to 5 teachers) Elementary teachers how to implement the EIE curriculum developed by the Boston Museum of Science. The EIE curriculum integrates an elementary school science topic with a specific field of engineering. The training was a two-week summer workshop which will be held here in Holyoke.
