 WORKING WITH WATER: From STEM to STEAM
 
 A Science and Arts Integration Program for Educators

 Join us for an engaging, rigorous, and fun professional development
 program designed to inspire you and your students about working with
 water
 on your school grounds.
 
 Learn to engage your students in science inquiry through field
 investigation, creative literacy, and other arts integration methods.
 
 Get Inspired! Enliven Your Curriculum!
 
 PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:
 Participants will learn how to:
 
 Enhance students creative and critical thinking skills through arts
 integrated teaching methods that bring science curriculum to life.
 Incorporate site-based field investigations on their school grounds.
 Create arts and science integrated lesson plans tailored to their
 classroom and aligned with Next Generation Science Standards.
 Be a part of a creative learning community.
 DETAILS:
       12 PDPs available.
 
       Activities are applicable to students of all ages.
 
       Participants receive classroom-ready handouts.
 
       $100 tuition includes lunch.
 
 
 
 Facilitated by Priscilla Kane Hellweg, Executive Artistic Director of
 Enchanted Circle Theater, Ted Watt, Environmental Educator/Naturalist at
 the Hitchcock Center for the Environment, and Carol Berner, Smith College
 Department of Education and Child Study, and Regional Coordinator of
 River of Words, an international environmental literacy program.
