 FEBRUARY VACATION STEM CAMPS
 PHOTOSHOP IT!
 Tuesday, 2/17/15Time: 9:00am  3:00pm Grades: 6, 7 & 8 Price $80 Max.
 size: 12 students
 Whether images are scanned, photographed, digitally or hand drawn,
 Adobe Photoshop is a key tool to manip- ulate your work. In this
 introductory course, you learn the top tools and understand Photoshops
 capabilities. Your art can then be incorporated into animation or
 digital projects, a portfolio, or game development & mobile application
 projects. You will use layers, combine images, create effects, retouch,
 modify or imbed images. Choose to create a final project such as a
 poster or CD cover or an idea of your choice. 6 hours instruction. Pack
 a lunch.
 
 
 CONQUERING CATAPULTS & TREBUCHETS!
 Tuesday & Wednesday 2/17 & 2/18 Time: 9:00am  3:00pm Grades: 5, 6 & 7
 Price: $195 (includes materials for take-home life-size catapult) Max.
 size: 12 students
 You will enjoy two days of pure fun while designing and building
 catapults and trebuchets! Day one, design and build your own life-size
 catapult and lay siege to your opponents during the catapult
 championship. Day two, you and your teammate will build a table top
 trebuchet and compete in the competition for distance and accuracy! 12
 hours of instruction. Pack a lunch.
 
 
 CODING CONCEPTS!
 Wednesday thru Friday Dates: 2/18, 2/19 & 2/20 Time: 9:00am  3:00pm
 Grades 6, 7, 8 & 9 Price $245 Max. size: 12 students
 Interested in developing programming skills? In this introductory
 course, you will have a solid introduction to programming and learn the
 basics of Eclipse Integrated Development Environment (IDE) and program
 in Java programming language. Armed with the knowledge from this
 course, you will be capable of writing programs for Computers and
 mobile devices and have a base of knowledge which opens the door to a
 whole world of further learning about programming. 18 hours
 instruction. Experience not required. Pack a lunch.
 
 
 
 
 THE FOLLOWING RUN SATURDAY, MARCH 14, 2015
 ROCKIN ROCKETS!
 Saturday, 3/14/15
 Time: 9:00am  3:00pm Grades: 5, 6, & 7 Price: $80 ($16 model kit paid
 onsite by cash or check) Max size: 12 students
 Students spend a winter Saturday building your own model rocket. We
 will go out- doors at the end of the day to blast the rockets skyward!
 Students may opt to launch or take their rocket home. This class sells
 out quickly! 6 hours instruction. Pack a lunch.
 
 
 LEGO ROBOTICS
 Saturday, 3/14/15
 Time: 9:00am  3:00pm Grades: 5, 6 & 7 Price: $100 Max. size: 12
 students
 This is an introductory course into robotics using the LEGO NXT and EV3
 sets. No experience necessary. Each student works with the starter set
 and learns to build and program real-life robotic solutions. If you
 love to build with LEGOs and love the computer than this workshop is
 for you! Enjoy a Saturday during the winter learning to program robots
 with motion, motors, ultrasonic sounds and light sensors! 6 hours
 instruction. Pack a lunch.
 
 
 ANIMATION CREATION SKILLS!
 Saturday, 3/14/15
 Time: 8:30am  12:30pm Grades: 6, 7 & 8 Price: $80 Max size: 12 students
 You will learn the basics of Adobe Flash animation software tool to
 animate objects, artwork and characters. Computer animation is a useful
 skill and a great software tool to build into your suite of computer
 skills. You can incorporate animation into any presentation, website,
 movie, mobile application and game development project. Each skill you
 build compliments others! 4 hours of instruction. Pack a drink & snack.
