 Job Announcement
 Boston University Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science
 Spring 2015
 Multiple SAT and MCAS Test Prep Instructor Positions Available
 Boston University Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science are now
 accepting applications for part-time afterschool instructor positions
 in SAT (Critical Reading or Math) and MCAS (Biology, Mathematics,
 Physics, or English Language Arts) Test Prep. Teachers are
 for planning and conducting instruction. Each Test Prep instructor is
 responsible for teaching one 1 hour and 50 minute section of MCAS
 MCAS Physics, MCAS Biology, MCAS Math, SAT Critical Reading, SAT
 Writing or SAT Math Test Prep, which will be once a week during the
 spring program. Course materials will focus on test taking
 practice tests, and reinforcement of content areas. Each Test Prep
 instructor is expected to develop and implement course curriculum,
 provide written evaluations of students performance (midterm and
 final) as well as attending one Parent Open House.  
 Educational requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Master's
 preferable) in specific academic discipline or secondary education
 with certification or teaching experience in appropriate content
 Required experience: Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience with high
 school students, strong teaching skills, demonstrated understanding
 the needs of disadvantaged youth, ability to respond to student
 learning needs with innovative ideas and approaches to instruction,
 and excellent interpersonal skills. 
 $23 hourly pay for classroom instruction, plus prep-time. Spring
 program dates are January 20 to May 15, 2015.

 Upward Bound and Upward Bound Math Science at Boston University are
 programs serving 136 Boston and Chelsea Public High School Students
 providing academic instruction, tutoring, social enrichment and
 personal support. Students participate in both a six-week summer
 residential program and an after school component. For more
