PV STEMNet Announcement: Computer Science Education Week

 Massachusetts Celebrates Computer Science Education Week!
 CAITE (http://www. caite.info) and the MassTLC Ed Foundation
 (http://masstlcef.org/) have joined forces to support you for
 csedweekMA! To help promote Computer Science Education Week (Dec.7-13,
 2015), we've put together a great CSEdWeek Kit for any MA teacher
 doing an Hour of Code or other CSEdWeek activity.
 What's in the MA CSEdWeek Kit?
 1.5" buttons (2) - CS EdWeek logo and date - for teachers to wear to
 promote CS EdWeek & their events
 19"x27" promo poster (1) - Massachusetts Celebrates Computer Science Education Week
 1" buttons (order the # you need) - CS Rocks #csedweekMA - 
 for any student who takes part in CSEdWeek or Hour of Code
 Sample press release - fill in the blanks and send off to your local 
 paper to get coverage and support from your community
 Please reply to this form (http://goo.gl/forms/bfJlVquLt8) by November
 18th if you wish to participate and request materials. Due to the
 amount of printed items required, we need enough lead time to order
 materials and deliver them prior to Dec. 7. If you have any questions,

 Looking for an activity? MassTLC has links to recommended lessons

 (unplugged, browser-based, app-based lessons). In addition, the
 Computer Science Teachers Association has many resources
 (http://csta.acm.org/Advocacy_Outreach/sub/CSEdWeek.html), including
 videos and posters for use in your classroom during CSEdWeek to promote
 awareness and engage students. Scroll to the bottom of the page:
 EXCITING CSTA RESOURCES.CSEdWeek and code.org are again organizing a
 massive campaign to encourage millions of students to try an Hour of
 Code (https://code.org/learn), and look out for new ones - including
 Star Wars themed tutorials - for Hour of Code 2015.
