STEM Ed Announcement: Materials Science and Engineering Event for High School Students

Announcing the 2016 ASM Materials Experience New England
 May 9, 2016 @ WPI (Worcester, MA)
 May 16, 2016 @ Boston University (Boston, MA)
 VISION: A FREE one day program for high school students to explore and learn about materials science and engineering
 WHEN: Monday, May 9, 2016 from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM at WPI or Monday, May 16,
 2016 from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Boston University
 WHO: The program is open to HIGH SCHOOL Sophomores and Juniors
 WHERE: Worcester Polytechnic Institute: Washburn Labs, Worcester, MA or Boston
 University: Photonics Center; 8 Saint Maryâ??s St., Boston, MA
 WHAT: Students will participate in hands-on learning modules designed to
 demonstrate the nature of materials. Topics will demonstrate how materials
 are engineered to perform as desired. Past modules have included Casting,
 Cryogenics, Shape Memory Alloys, Hydrogels, Electron Microscopy & more!
 COST: FREE (NOTE: Participants must make their own transportation arrangements)
