[Stemed-l] Free STEM and Primary Sources PD at WPI 4/12

Enriching STEM Learning through Primary Sources Professional Development Workshop at WPI

Date and Time: Tuesday, April 12, 2016; 3:30-6:30 at WPI
Target Audience: Upper Elementary, Middle, and High School Teachers
Registration Fee: Free

The vast (and free!) online collections of the Library of Congress include a wealth of source material that can enrich content, build student skills of observation and analysis, capture student interest, and ground STEM content in student lives. This professional development opportunity, offered as a partnership between the STEM Education Center at WPI and the Library of Congress, will explore ways to find, access, and utilize these exciting primary sources in your classroom - including ideas for creating curriculum in STEM or across academic disciplines. Consider attending with educators from other academic disciplines to think about how to use these resources together.

Registration is required: http://www.wpi.edu/academics/stem/STEM-through-primary-sources.htm. Please try to register by Thursday, April 7th.
