All papers & posters related teaching physics are welcome, and we are
particularly interested in submissions for the following:

   1. Implementing NGSS
   2. New methodologies e.g. flipping classes, studio physics, online and
   hybrid courses, etc.
   3. Assessment: how to measure effectiveness of instruction

*Call for Janet Guernsey Award Nominations: **Deadline May 13, 2016*

Do you know of an outstanding physics teacher in New England whom you
think
should receive recognition for his/her excellent teaching skills and
methods? AAPT-NES members can nominate any college or high school physics
teacher in New England for this award.
Nominees will be evaluated using the following criteria:
·      *Excellence in Classroom Teaching*
·      *Creativity and Innovation as a Teacher*
·      *Contributing to the Strength and Growth of the Schoolâ??s
Physics
Program*
·      *Undertaking Professional Development to Continually Improve as a
Teacher*
·      *Working Effectively as a Colleague with Others in the
Department*
·      *Mentoring New Teachers as Appropriate*

The nominator must supply sufficient information so that the committee
can
fairly evaluate the nominee.
