[Stemed-l] Maternity Leave Posting



Upper School Chemistry Teacher (Part-Time Maternity Leave)

The Winsor School (Boston, MA) is an independent girls' school for
academically promising and motivated students in grades five through
twelve. The School is currently seeking a part-time Upper School
Chemistry teacher for a maternity leave position beginning at the
start of the 2016-2017 academic year at the end of August and
extending into early November. Coverage will include one section of
10th grade Honors Chemistry and one section of 12th grade AP
Chemistry. Strong candidates will have a degree in chemistry and at
least two or three years of experience teaching high school chemistry
and the associated laboratory work. Candidates must be committed to
motivating girls' success in the sciences. A commitment to diversity
work, an understanding of the importance of teacher engagement in
community life, and the use a variety of pedagogical approaches in the
classroom are essential, as is the ability to use technology
effectively in the teaching and learning process.
