Saturday, August 20, Project Learning Tree's Environmental Experiences for Early Childhood, PreK-K module, DCR's Brookwood Community Farm, Canton, MA, 10:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Try out and discuss the curriculum's activities and experiences with peers in a collegial atmosphere. Connect young children with the natural world by building on what's already familiar. The material consists of teacher-led and self-directed experiences that incorporate stories, song, dramatic play, art and other pre-school features. Organized around the senses, the seasons, and neighborhood trees, it piques curiosity, builds awareness and vocabulary and honors creativity.
$15 per person. For questions or to pre-register by August 13, please contact Gini.Traub@state.ma.us; 413/584-6788.
