The STEM Club @ WPI
The STEM Club meets four times during the academic year and is open to all current and aspiring STEM educators of grades 4-12.

The second session of the STEM Club focuses on the design and building of an earthquake safe structure. Participants will follow an activity aligned with MA’s standards for Earth Science, engineering, and math to research, design, and test a variety of materials and structures to meet the needs of a design challenge.
Christine Robbins from Auburn Middle School will lead STEM Club and share a unit plan she developed as part of her summer 2015 RET (Research Experience for Teachers) at WPI, during which she researched and developed a shake table as well as a unit plan on earthquake safe structures.
Location: Rubin Campus Center, Taylor room, WPI (map an parking pass will be emailed to participants).
